To begin the process, call Justine Smith, Director of Admission, at 860.223.6428 x303 to schedule a tour. Application forms and other necessary forms are available below for download.

This is an overview of the application process. Detailed instructions for applying to either lower grades (K – 5) or upper grades (6 – 9) will be covered in another section:

- Submit the completed application, either the physical application or the online forms, and nonrefundable application fee of $40 to the school.

- Official copies of school records for applicants should be sent directly to the Admission Office. The Records Release Form is available for download and print below. This should be filled out and submitted to your child’s current school.

- Admission testing is required of all applicants grades 4-9.

- If applying for financial aid, file a Parents Financial Statement (PFS) online at www.sss.nais.org

- Admission decisions are made as soon as the admission file is completed.

Lower Grade Application, Grades K – 5

 

Please contact us if you have trouble with our online forms.

1) Complete the online Mooreland Lower Grade application form.

2) Submit the nonrefundable application fee of $40 to the school.

3) Schedule a screening for Kindergarten or a 1/2 day visit for Grades 1 and an all day visit for Grades 2- 5.

4) Contact your child’s teacher and ask them to complete the online lower grade  K – 5 Student Evaluation form.

5) If applying for financial aid, file a Parents Financial Statement (PFS) online at www.sss.nais.org

6) Download, print, and complete the Records Release form. Then, submit it to your school, obtain copies of your child’s academic records, and send them to Mooreland Hill School.

 

Upper Grade Application, Grades 6 – 9

1) Complete the online Mooreland Upper Grade Application for Admission

2) Instruct your child to complete the online Mooreland Upper Grade Application for Admission, Part C: Student Questionairre

3) Schedule an all-day visit where the applicant will spend the day on campus with a student host.

4) Contact one of your child’s teachers to complete the Teacher Recommendation – Part A: General Recommendation

5) Contact your child’s English teacher to complete the Teacher Recommendation – Part B: English Teacher Recommendation

6) Contact your child’s Math teacher to complete the Teacher Recommendation – Part C: Math Teacher Recommendation

7) If applying for financial aid, file a Parents Financial Statement (PFS) online at www.sss.nais.org

8) Download, print, and complete the Records Release form. Submit this form to your child’s current school.
