2013 Summer Reading Assignments are in! Stock up with these great titles for the summer months ahead.
Required Reading Selections:
4/5 MAG
The required reading book for grade 5 is Windcatcher by Avi.
The required reading book for grade 4 is Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.
The students in both grades are to read three other books of their choice.
For students entering the 5th grade, please submit a book analysis card for the three books of your choice (not for Windcatcher). Students should include the title, author, and setting. The majority of the card will be an original cover illustration for the book. Students should not use the cover on the book for ideas, rather they should think of a scene they liked from the story to use instead. The book cards should be mailed to Mr. Borden at MHS. Mr. Borden will check his mailbox periodically.
