Mooreland victories went to first seed singles Carter Neubieser, winning 6-2, and to doubles pair Cam Matino and Manny Samra, winning in tiebreak 7-6 (5-0). another notable performance goes to Samantha Plourde, playing for the first time in the third singles spot and losing 6-4. The set of the day, though, happened when first seed doubles partners Khalil Bradley and Michael Fischer lost in a lengthy and nail-biting tiebreaker 7-6 (11-9).

The students were treated to a well-choreographed performance that brought energy and humor to a classic text. This field trip kicks off the beginning of the seventh grade Shakespeare unit, where they will be reading Shakespearean sonnets and the classic tragedy Macbeth.

We are proud to recognize three MHS students who received honors from the American Classical League for their performance on the exam:

Seventh grader Brianna Gambacini received a certificate of achievement on the Intro level exam.

Seventh grader Ben Czuprinski received a ribbon and certificate for outstanding achievement on the Intro level exam.

Eighth grader Brian Tomasco received a gold medal and Summa Cum Laude certificate on the Latin II level exam.
