Dr. Michael Timura, III, 51, of North Providence, RI and recently of
Farmington passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born in New Britain
on August 8, 1962 to Michael and Florence Timura of Farmington and Old Lyme.
He was a graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol; received his
bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College; MBA from Bryant University and a
PhD in education from UConn. The last position during his career was a
professor at Johnson & Wales University in Providence where he taught
graduate courses – thoroughly enjoying his profession and students. Michael
was a very gregarious and compassionate person that loved to be around
people, talk and tell stories. He departed us way too soon and will be truly
missed by all, but we know he is in good company enjoying himself in Heaven
and being with the Lord. Besides his parents, he is survived by his three
brothers: Wayne and Jacqueline of Colorado; Gary and Linda of Unionville;
Brian, MD of Vermont; and his beloved little dog, Trinket. There will be no
calling hours. His final resting place will be in Portage, PA. Donations in
his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association
(www.diabetes.org). The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St, Rte. 4, Unionville
is handling the arrangements. For online condolences or to share a memory,
