Mooreland Hill School Summer 2009 Reading Assignment

Each student must read the required selection for the grade he or she is entering into. In addition, each student is required to choose three books of his or her own preference from the suggested reading list, provided they are at or above the student’s reading level. Take this as an opportunity to improve your reading skill and increase your vocabulary.

There are two different reading card formats, one for the 5^th and 6^th grades, and another for the 7^th and 8^th grades. Each student is required to complete one card for each book read. Each student must bring to English class four completed cards on the first day of school.

To obtain your cards, please download the grade specific .pdf below. Alternately you can stop by campus where extra summer reading cards will be located in the front office.

In addition, also located on this site is a supplemental suggested reading list. Please take some time to review this list when you are selecting books to read this summer.
