The Taylor Young Library

The Mooreland Hill School library, located in the administration building, was designed and fitted with careful thought to the students and, as such, is a focal point of each student’s day. While the school’s Computer Laboratory is located in Founders Hall, a classroom building, the library also houses computers for student use. The computers are equipped with school links, web library resources, search engines, news media and newspapers. The library boasts a fine collection of fiction and non-fiction books, reference books and materials, video and music tapes and CD’s, periodicals and a parent loan section.
The library is home to study halls and is available for students’ individual study during free periods and during after-school hours. It also serves as a gallery for the display of student artwork and projects, and as an attractive venue for trustee meetings, Parents’ Association meetings, school receptions and meetings of community nonprofit groups.
In 2005, the library was named in honor of Taylor Young ‘05, son of Attorney
Roland Young III and Dona Young of West Hartford, in appreciation of his
parents’ superb generosity to Mooreland Hill School.
