The Advisor System is the prime communication channel at Mooreland Hill. Each student has his or her own advisor – a teacher who will oversee the student’s academic and social progress throughout the year. The advisor holds an introductory conference with the student and parents, establishing an open and continuing line of communication. Throughout the year, the advisor makes regular checks on the advisee’s classroom work and serves as an informal counselor for both academic and peer concerns.

For the student, the Advisor System guarantees the existence of an informed, caring adult friend. For the parent, it means there is always someone at the school who knows, on a day to day basis, how his or her child is doing.
