The music offerings are designed to develop music appreciation through academic, instrumental, and vocal participation.

Chorus

Chorus is mandatory for all students. A wide variety of pieces are rehearsed for the purpose of stressing many elements of music and ultimately for performance. Posture, diction, and performance are some of the aspects of vocal music that are addressed. The Chorus performs several times throughout the year in school and within the community.

Instrumental Ensemble

Instrumental Ensemble encompasses all levels of playing ability and is offered to all students. The expectation of participation is attendance at all rehearsals and performances. Students have the opportunity to audition and participate in the Connecticut Music Educators Association’s Northern Region Music Festival.
