Spencer Wilson ’04 and Cameron West ’04
Spencer Wilson ’04 and Cameron West ’04 took five weeks this past summer to fly from Chicago, IL to Pensacola, FL via Alaska. Spencer has been a pilot for the last five years and Cameron, an accomplished amateur photographer, has lived and worked in backcountry settings for the past four years. Spencer and Cameron flew several thousand miles, crossing the northern United States, up the Canadian coast, and into Alaska where they spent 3 weeks exploring. They returned thru the heart of the Canadian Rockies, down the West coast, and across the Southwest to Pensacola, FL where Spencer starts flight school for the United States Navy. Whether they were circling Mt. McKinley at 16,500 feet or landing on mountaintop plateaus these Mooreland alumni have gone from simple 6th grade friends to 12 years later relying only on each other, as no other option is available in some of the most remote places in North America.
